Vision
To live in a world where all different groups of women are able to negotiate and challenge points of transmission, understand and inform their own treatment and have access to quality women’s centred service delivery from prevention to treatment, care and support.
Mission
To address the feminised pandemic of HIV and AIDS, in order to holistically better the lives for women through women and human rights approaches. The SANAC Women’s Sector does this based on the principle that women are individuals and should be at the centre of all interventions.
Goals and Objectives
- To advise the SANAC policy making process and to Influence policy in regards to the realities of women’s lives and benefits for women
- Advocate and Lobby influential policy makers to have women’s centred policies including the liaising with other SANAC sectors
- Influence resource allocation for women within policy making
- Coordinate and organise the participation of different groups of women within SANAC processes to ensure different outcomes for different groups of women
- Build a critical mass of different groups of women to inform SANAC processes
- Represent and consult with different women’s groups in South Africa
- To ensure the sustainability of the Women’s Sector
- Raise awareness about SANAC, the NSP, and the Women’s Sector
